What we know about you, why we hold it, and the care with which we treat it.

Discretion is the foundation of Beyond Cape, and privacy is simply its written form. This policy explains what personal information Beyond Cape (Pty) Ltd collects, how it is used and protected, and the rights you hold over it under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Beyond Cape (Pty) Ltd is a luxury lifestyle management company based in Cape Town, South Africa. For the purposes of POPIA we are the responsible party for the personal information described here.
Questions, requests and complaints may be directed to our Information Officer at care@beyondcape.co.za
We collect only what we need in order to look after you properly – most of it given directly by you, through our enquiry form, WhatsApp, email or conversation:
Your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number
Travel dates, flight details, party size and itinerary information
Preferences – dining, seating, vehicles, rooms, wine and the like
Dietary requirements, allergies, accessibility or medical needs you choose to share
Billing and payment details necessary to process a booking
Basic technical information from our website, such as your browser type and pages visited
Where you share health, dietary or security-related information, you do so voluntarily and we use it solely to fulfil the arrangement in question.
Your information is used to fulfil your requests, to communicate with you about your arrangements, to process payment, and to improve the service we provide. Remembering your preferences is central to what we do – that is why we keep them.
We rely on your consent, on the performance of our agreement with you, and on our legitimate interest in running the business responsibly. We never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
To arrange anything at all, some details must be passed on – a name to a restaurant, a flight number to a chauffeur, a party size to a villa. We share the minimum required, and nothing more.
Our providers are bound by confidentiality obligations, and we also use trusted service partners for functions such as payment processing, secure hosting and email. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Many of our clients and some of our systems sit outside South Africa, so your information may be processed in another country. Where that happens, we ensure the recipient is subject to protections comparable to those required by POPIA, whether by law, contract or binding corporate rules.
We keep your information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires – financial records, for instance, must be retained for a fixed statutory period.
For returning clients we retain preferences so that you never have to repeat yourself. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will erase them.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards: encrypted connections, secured storage, access limited strictly to those who need it, and confidentiality obligations on anyone who handles your information.
No system is ever entirely without risk, but should a breach affect your personal information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Our website uses essential cookies so that it functions properly, and may use basic analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then behave imperfectly.
Under POPIA you are entitled to:
Ask what personal information we hold about you
Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
Request deletion of information we no longer have grounds to keep
Object to processing, or withdraw consent, at any time
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
To exercise any of these, write to care@beyondcape.co.za We will respond promptly, and always within the period the law allows.
We may update this policy as our services or the law evolve. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be brought to your attention.
